Everester , n : Someone who climbs Mount Everest. New Zealand mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary died on this day ten years ago in 2008. On 29 May 1953, Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to have reached the summit of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth above sea level.
